The Museum
Hämeenlinna Art Museum operates in two buildings in the centre of Hämeenlinna City, at the Verkatehdas Arts and Congress Center. The Museum opened its doors to the public on May 24, 1952. It is under the administration of the city of Hämeenlinna.
Since 1983 Hämeenlinna Art Museum has been the Regional Art Museum of Kanta-Häme Province, which means that it has local tasks. It provides art events and services for the Kanta-Häme area - exhibitions, material for art educational purposes and advice - and gathers information on local art.
