ABOUT HÄMEENLINNA The City of Hämeenlinna was founded in 1639. On the 1st of January 2009 Hämeenlinna, Hauho, Kalvola, Lammi, Renko and Tuulos municipalities joined together and form a new city called Hämeenlinna. Population 31.12.2009:  66 600.
