Hämeenlinna – Golf Capital of Finland

In Hämeenlinna, the grass is greener on this side of the fence! Hämeenlinna has four golf courses within 15 minutes of each other – just one hour away from Helsinki! The golf season in Hämeenlinna typically starts in early May and continues all the way to October.

Hämeenlinna is called the golf capital of Finland, and it’s no wonder – our four golf courses of different levels serve beginners and veterans alike and offer a unique setting with greens for improving your putting and generous fairways with water hazards.

And the best thing is, you can play all four golf courses over one weekend! The fields are located very close to each other, surrounded by beautiful nature and unique cultural landscapes.

Linna Golf

Our pride and joy is the only PGA European Tour Course in Finland, Linna Golf, which extends over a hundred hectares in the majestic scenery of the historic Vanajanlinna Castle.

You can feel the history and tradition at the 9-hole Aulanko Golf Hugo, which was founded in 1940 and is the oldest golf course in Finland that still exists in its original form.
