Rental apartments

The City of Hämeenlinna does not rent apartments directly. However, several rental apartment companies operate in the Hämeenlinna area, and you can search their listings to find a suitable home for yourself.

Hämeenlinnan Asunnot Oy, part of the Hämeenlinna City Group, offers rental apartments in various parts of the city. The apartment selection includes homes of different sizes for different life situations.

Hämeenlinnan Vanhusten Asuntosäätiö, which is also part of the Hämeenlinna City Group, offers affordable rental housing for senior residents. The foundation’s apartments are designed for elderly residents who wish to live independently in a safe environment.

Explore the apartment listings of different landlords and apply for an apartment directly from your chosen provider.

Preparedness

In life, it is important to prepare for various disruptions as well. These can include anything from storms and floods to prolonged power outages.

Everyone should be prepared to manage independently in their homes for at least three days in the event of a disruption (www.72tuntia.fi/en). You should have food, water and medication stored at home for three days.

It is also important to be familiar with the basics of preparedness—for example, where to get reliable information in an emergency and how to cope during a prolonged water or power outage.
