City Board decisions of 20 October 2026

The City Board made the following decisions at its meeting:
§ 339 Implementation of the 2026 budget and forecast for the full-year result as of 30 September 2026
The City Board decided to note the implementation and forecast report prepared as of September 2026 and to forward it to the City Council for information.
§ 340 Secretary of City Board meetings and the presence of other persons at City Board meetings
The City Board decided that
- the Director of Administration shall act as secretary at City Board meetings. If the Director of Administration is unable to attend, the administrative lawyer or an official appointed by the City Board shall act as secretary. The secretary has the right to speak at City Board meetings.
- during information sessions held as part of City Board meetings, the chairs of the council groups, members of the city’s management team, and experts relevant to the topic of the session may attend via Teams.
- regardless of the matters under consideration, the following persons may participate in City Board meetings with the right to speak: the Director of Personnel and Preparedness, the Director of Finance, the Director of Vitality, the Director of Strategy, the Director of Education and Welfare, the Director of Urban Structure, the Communications and Marketing Manager, and the administrative lawyer.
§ 342 Deviation 109-2026-357, 109-25-18-1, Simeoninkuja 2, care home for people with intellectual disabilities
The City Board decided to grant a deviation permit under section 57 of the Building Act for a care home for people with intellectual disabilities on the property 109-25-18-1.
§ 345 Chief Executive’s proposal for the 2027 budget and the 2028-2029 financial plan
The City Board decided to begin consideration of the 2027 budget and the 2028-2029 financial plan.
