Contractor selected for the demolition of Ykköskortteli
The City of Hämeenlinna has selected Ahosen Palvelut Oy as the contractor for the demolition of Ykköskortteli. The contract is worth €1,699,400, and demolition work is scheduled to begin in early November 2026.
Four bids were received for the Ykköskortteli demolition contract. In the evaluation of the bids, price accounted for 80% of the weighting and quality for 20%. The quality assessment examined the overall demolition work plan and schedule, as well as how well the plan was based on the preliminary plans and studies included in the invitation to tender. In addition, clarification negotiations were held with all bidders. Following these negotiations, one bidder withdrew its bid.
The city selected Ahosen Palvelut Oy as the contractor, as its bid was the most economically advantageous overall. The bid also meets the schedule and budget targets previously set by the City Board. The total cost of the contract to the city is €1,699,400.
The procurement decision does not yet constitute a contract between the city and the contractor. The contract can only be signed once the procurement decision has become legally binding.
Demolition of Ykköskortteli is expected to begin in early November 2026, with the work scheduled for completion by the end of May 2027.
