Leader funding also available for business projects
A third of Leader funding goes to business projects.
So far in the current programme period, 41 different business projects have been funded, including 19 start-up grants, 11 development grants, and 11 investment grants. A total of €188,000 in public funding has been committed to these projects. In addition, expertise is being expanded through initiatives such as the Vitality of Three Sub-Regions project, which activates entrepreneur associations under Hämeen Yrittäjät, and through Regional Funding, which allows sole entrepreneurs to apply for support for training.
In the Linnaseutu funding package, business grants account for 32% of all funded projects, meaning the majority of Leader projects in Hämeenlinna, Hattula, and Janakkala are directed towards projects of general benefit. However, demand for business projects has been growing encouragingly and is expected to accelerate further as the end of the programme period approaches.
Entrepreneurs, there’s still time to apply for funding for your project
If you’ve been planning an equipment investment, or considering developing your company’s marketing, service design, or products, now is the time to apply!
An eligible business is a micro-enterprise operating in the Linnaseutu area, with no more than five employees, one of whom may be the entrepreneur. Investments of up to €100,000 are funded with a 20% grant, or through standardised lump-sum compensations for expert service purchases, the largest of which is €7,500. You can learn more about funding opportunities on the Linnaseutu ry website.
