Nominate the Young Influencer of the Year
The search for the Young Influencer of the Year award nominees is open from 5 October to 1 November 2026.
You can nominate a young person or a group of young people who have demonstrated activity in their community, brought joy to other young people or residents, or otherwise actively influenced civil society during the past year. The nominee(s) must be under 29 years of age and residents of Hämeenlinna.
Anyone can nominate a recipient via the open online form until 1 November 2026.
The Young Influencer of the Year award aims to make youth participation visible and encourage young people to find their own ways to influence their environment. The award ranges from €300 to €700, depending on whether it is awarded to an individual or a group. For a group of more than 10 people, the award is €900.
The recipient will be announced on World Children’s Day, 20 November 2026. This year, the recipient will be selected by Tarja Majuri, Director of Urban Infrastructure for the City of Hämeenlinna.
The Young Influencer of the Year award was first presented in 2023, and this is now the fourth call for nominations. In previous years, the recipient has been chosen by Päivi Raukko, Director of Education and Wellbeing; Niklas Lähteenmäki, Director of Vitality; and Markku Rimpelä, Director of Strategy.
