Oma Firma startup grant encourages young people in Hämeenlinna to pursue entrepreneurship
The City of Hämeenlinna encourages local youth to engage in 4H entrepreneurship through the 300-euro Oma Firma startup grant. Those applying for the Oma Firma startup grant have the opportunity to participate in business training organized by Hämeenlinna 4H during the remainder of the year.
The Oma Firma startup grant is intended for new 4H entrepreneurs aged 13–28. With the help of the grant, young people can cover, for example, initial purchases for their 4H business activities.
The startup grant is paid in two installments of 150 euros. There is a review period of approximately three months between the first and second installments, during which the entrepreneur must accumulate at least 300 euros in sales for their 4H business to be eligible for the second installment.
You can apply for the startup grant on the Hämeenlinna 4H website. In 2026 and 2027, the final application dates are Nov 20, 2026, Feb 20, 2027, May 20, 2027, and Aug 20, 2027.
