What do we do in the group?

In the OpinIkä group, you can get tips on managing your own health, learn about accessibility in housing, and find out how to borrow assistive devices that support living at home free of charge from the assistive device loan service. At each session, we also practise a bit of everyday Finnish.

You can also take part in a three-session digital skills course. The aim of the IkäDigi course is to get acquainted with the basics of online services and learn how to use different applications. Participants also get to influence the content of the course.

The group is organised by the City of Hämeenlinna’s Keys to Participation – Equal Opportunities for Elderly Immigrants project. Funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health’s (STM) grant for health promotion.
