Senior Act of the Year 2026 awarded to Hämeenlinnan Seudun Omaishoitajat ry
The Elderly Council of the City of Hämeenlinna has granted the Senior Act of the Year 2026 recognition to Hämeenlinnan Seudun Omaishoitajat ry. The award was presented at the Everyday Encounters event during Seniors’ Week at the Hämeenlinna Main Library on 5 October 2026.
With the Senior Act of the Year 2026 honorary mention, the Elderly Council of the City of Hämeenlinna wishes to acknowledge the important and long-term work that family caregivers do for their aging relatives. The award was accepted by Pirkko Nuutinen, a board member of Hämeenlinnan Seudun Omaishoitajat ry.
The certificate associated with the recognition was presented at the Everyday Encounters event at the Hämeenlinna Main Library on 5 October 2026. The announcement of the Senior Act of the Year is part of Seniors’ Week, celebrated from 5 to 11 October 2026. The theme for this year’s national theme week by the Central Union for the Welfare of the Aged is Everyday Encounters.
