Smart Work 2025: TyöParkki – Employment services and counseling without an appointment
The Smart Work page presents everyday innovations and success stories developed by the employees of the City of Hämeenlinna.
A spiral organization model was developed in the TyöHäme Employment Area, with employment at its core. The model relies on multidisciplinary, self-directed teams that implement employment services and are responsible for achieving set goals. The TyöParkki team was established in accordance with these principles.
TyöParkki offers a low-threshold service for those over 30, emphasizing co-development, transparency, and customer orientation. The service provides advice and guidance related to working life, and the first version of the model was quickly created for testing.
Thanks to TyöParkki, many unemployed people have found work, which has boosted the regional economy and increased awareness of the labor market. Multidisciplinary cooperation has improved the quality and accessibility of services. The flexibility and individuality of services have increased, and customers experience advice and guidance more quickly and through a lower threshold. Employee satisfaction and expertise have been strengthened in a multidisciplinary environment, which has also increased community spirit and innovation.
Development work continues, and the model is being expanded into a team organization for the entire TyöHäme Employment Area. New functions are being tested, and customers are involved in the development.
The idea for Walk-in job interviews was born from a desire to bring job seekers and employers together quickly. Job seekers can arrive for interviews without prior registration, and the event has been organized several times, the first of which was very successful.
The service model is being further developed and will be productized as part of recruitment models. The goal is to organize recruitment events continuously to meet the needs of employers.
