Smart Work 2027: Co-developing Children’s Cultural Services in Regional Training Days
The Smart Work page presents everyday innovations and success stories developed by employees of the City of Hämeenlinna.
The Regional Training Days were created for the co-development of Children’s Cultural Services at the initiative of Ilona Härö, Cultural Producer at Open Cultural Centre ARX. Härö’s goal was to strengthen cooperation and competence development among the partners and contact persons of the Cultural Path education plans. One objective of the training was to create time and space for interaction and the mutual exchange of ideas.
Since 2025, Open Cultural Centre ARX has invited Cultural Path partners and contact persons to train together. Cultural Paths are implemented and developed with an extensive cooperation network, which includes staff from arts and cultural institutions as well as schools and early childhood education.
The theme for the first year was a journey into the future. The 2026 training focused on the highly topical theme of emotional and interaction skills.
The training sessions build and share expertise for employees coming from different units and working in very diverse roles. They create time and space for encounters that do not exist in everyday work. The sessions provide up-to-date information on meaningful topics, and their workshop component strengthens the connection between participants and experiential learning. The training reinforces co-development for the Cultural Paths produced jointly by multiple actors.
The 2027 training will be held in the spring at Verkki. The theme has already been chosen but has not yet been published. Program planning and the identification of experts have begun. As in previous years, Härö involves the ARX team in the planning and utilizes the expertise within her own organization.
