Smart Work 2027: Entrepreneur Studio

The idea for the Entrepreneur Studio came from our wish, at TyöHäme Employment Area, to support jobseekers interested in entrepreneurship by sharing valuable information about starting a business and encouraging them to take that path. Our main goal was to spread the message about entrepreneurship and inspire jobseekers to see that starting a business is indeed a very good way to find employment, as well as to enliven and promote the growth of Hämeenlinna.

We combined an event with training and put together the materials. We invited the Häme New Enterprise Centre and Forssan Yrityskehitys Oy on board to deepen our cooperation, also through the Yritysreaktori programme. Labour market training for the field and businesses for sale were included as well. We arranged premises and launched marketing to jobseekers. The aim is to reach as many participants as possible at the same time and help them find a career path of their own through entrepreneurship.

We have had a great number of participants. Questions keep coming, every speech ends in applause, and thanks are given again and again. We have gained more entrepreneurs in our city and fewer unemployed people. We get to help jobseekers move forward in life and have a positive impact on enlivening Kanta-Häme. This makes our work meaningful, and these successes also significantly boost our own wellbeing at work.

After each event, we come up with new ideas to try out. The next step will likely be inviting people who are already working as entrepreneurs to share their experiences and stories with aspiring entrepreneurs. This will surely provide useful additional information and ideas for those planning to start a business. It will also spark rewarding discussion on the topic. Let’s grow Hämeenlinna together!
