Smart Work 2027: VerkostoPiste
The Smart Work page presents everyday innovations and success stories developed by the employees of the City of Hämeenlinna.
The aim was to create a low-threshold event that reaches many people at once. The specific target group was jobseekers in a challenging employment position. The goal was to create an event that brings together various services for jobseeker clients to view.
The objective was to make visible the wide range of services available to jobseekers who require more support for employment or work ability. A small pilot of the VerkostoPiste event was first organised at Pööli and then expanded to the mini-theatre, where 80 individual clients were invited. Speakers included a wide range of operators from Oma Häme, financial and debt counselling, and Coronaria.
A large number of jobseeker clients were reached at once. A functional concept has been created that can be repeated several times a year and transferred to other locations. The current goal is to have the event running regularly in Forssa as well. Clients receive a wealth of information about the opportunities offered by different operators at once, and their situations progress.
The concept can be further developed and refined, but the idea itself is now ready and easy to copy and repeat several times a year. Once a functional foundation has been created, it is efficient to replicate it rather than reinventing something new every time.
