Tiedotteet – Child-friendly Hämeenlinna

Submit your event for Hämeenlinna’s Children’s Rights Week!

Children’s Rights Week will be celebrated on 16–22 November 2026. We invite everyone to take part in the week and submit their own event to be included in the week’s programme.

This year’s Children’s Rights Week theme is Every Child Is Valuable. The theme is a reminder that every child and young person has the right to be seen, heard, and valued as themselves.

A wide variety of activities are welcome during Children’s Rights Week. You can organise events, workshops, cultural and sports activities, campaigns, or other programmes suitable for children, young people, and families. The week’s programme will be compiled into a bulletin and schedule on the City of Hämeenlinna’s website, and events will be highlighted as part of the city’s communications on Children’s Rights Week. The aim is to create a diverse celebration week for children and young people!

You can submit your event by sending an email on the topic to the city’s participation coordinator, veera.antikainen@hameenlinna.fi. Use Children’s Rights Week 2026 as the subject line.

In your message, please briefly include:

  • the content of the event or programme
  • the date and time of the event
  • the event location
  • the target group
  • where to find more information (for example, contact details or a link to a website).
