Veterinary services
Hämeenlinna provides municipal veterinary services for the Hämeenlinna and Hattula areas. The municipal veterinarians offer urgent, emergency veterinary care at all hours of the day for farmed animals, horses and pets.
The municipal veterinary services include basic services for all animals, such as vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, the most common surgeries and treatment of illnesses such as ear, eye, urinary and skin conditions. For farmed animals, health care visits are also conducted.
You can book an appointment on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Emergency services are available for urgent situations in the evenings, at night and on weekends.
During office hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can book an appointment at either the Jukola or Tuulos veterinary clinic. Both clinics have telephone hours for appointments and enquiries on weekdays from 8 to 9 a.m. In acute emergencies, you can also try to reach the veterinarian by phone after the appointment booking hours have ended. If your call is not answered, leave a message on the answering machine and we will contact you as soon as possible.
Appointments are accepted only by telephone, not by text message or email.
