Otsonpolku is a warm daycare centre with an emphasis on outdoor activities and excursions, featuring three groups of children. Nature, physical activity, and sustainable development are part of everyday life, and we actively go on excursions throughout the year, regardless of the weather. Our activities emphasise children’s well-being, supporting strong self-esteem and friendship skills, as well as learning through play, physical activity, and shared experiences.
Small-group pedagogy enables unhurried interaction, child participation, and individual attention. Cooperation between groups creates a sense of community and enriches the children’s daily lives. Furthermore, regular cooperation with the elderly residents of a nearby care home offers meaningful encounters and opportunities to learn from other generations.
