Minigolf and restaurant operator sought for Linnanpuisto

The City is looking for new operators to develop services in the Linnanpuisto area. Applications are open for the Karnaalinpuisto minigolf area and a café or restaurant site in Eino Leinon puisto. These unique locations offer the opportunity to build attractive services in the heart of Hämeenlinna’s most famous tourism and cultural environment.

The City is opening an application process for two new service sites in the Linnanpuisto area. Applications are welcome from operators planning to design and implement minigolf, café, or restaurant activities in the area. The sites are located just a short walk from the city centre, near Häme Castle and Lake Vanajavesi.

This is not a competitive tendering or procurement process; instead, the City is offering selected operators a land lease agreement with a duration of 10–20 years. The length of the lease will be negotiated with the chosen operators.

The application period is 14 September – 6 November 2026. Selection will be based on the plans submitted by the applicants.

The goal of the application process is to ensure an open and fair procedure and to find high-quality services that suit the environment. At the same time, the City can guide the solutions implemented in the valuable surroundings of Linnanpuisto and Karnaalinpuisto.
