Call for operators in Linnanpuisto: minigolf and café-restaurant

The City of Hämeenlinna is looking for enthusiastic and development-oriented operators for two different sites in the recently renovated Linnanpuisto and Karnaalinpuisto areas.

Do you want to be part of Hämeenlinna’s most attractive year-round tourism and cultural destination, just a stone’s throw from the city center? The City of Hämeenlinna is looking for enthusiastic and development-oriented operators for two different sites in the recently renovated Linnanpuisto and Karnaalinpuisto areas.

The location in the immediate vicinity of Häme Castle offers exceptional visibility and customer potential for the business. In addition to the tourists attracted by the castle, several large events are organized near the area during the summer season, attracting visitors from further away. The minigolf and café-restaurant service complexes have the potential to become popular meeting places for both locals and tourists alike.

Karnaalinpuisto minigolf complex

An operator is being sought for Karnaalinpuisto to design, build, and maintain a minigolf complex that attracts both locals and tourists to enjoy the unique setting. In addition to minigolf, the area is suitable for a café and service container, a cozy terrace, and various park and yard games that complement the experiential and attractive whole.

The area available for rent for minigolf consists of

  • a meadow area of approximately 3,400 m²
  • areas of 15 m² reserved for a service building or café and 24 m² for its terrace on a stone dust base

The length of the land lease agreement is 10 years, and the agreement includes a 5-year option for an extension. The annual rent for the area is €1,780, tied to the index.

Linnanpuisto café or restaurant complex

In Eino Leino Park, an opportunity opens up to implement a cozy café or restaurant complex in the Vanajavesi lakeside landscape. The planning area of approximately 683 m² offers an excellent framework for year-round or seasonal operations that attract customers in a historical and verdant park environment.

The area’s attractiveness is enhanced by its location right next to the castle along the popular Vanajavesi shore route. The park path running between the planning area and the shore is part of Hämeenlinna’s most famous outdoor route, which is used by up to 200,000 outdoor enthusiasts annually. The route brings a steady stream of potential customers to the area, including local residents, cottage owners, and tourists.

Eino Leino Park offers the operator the opportunity to create a high-quality meeting place by the water, in one of Hämeenlinna’s most beautiful and busiest outdoor areas.

The operator is offered long-term conditions for business development, as the length of the land lease agreement is 10–20 years. The specific length of the contract period and other terms will be negotiated with the selected operator. The annual rent for the area is 2,425 euros per year, tied to the index.
