Smart Work 2027: Marketing and Instructional Videos for Procurement

The Smart Work page presents everyday innovations and success stories developed by the employees of the City of Hämeenlinna.

The idea originated from discussions on how to develop procurement communications in a more engaging direction. The process was aided by the TE reform, which brought video production experts to the city. At the same time, it provides a “face” for the city’s procurement.

Three videos have been produced:

  • The Procurement Manager explains the basics of procurement and why it is worth participating in public tenders.
  • A company representative discusses procurement from their own perspective.
  • The HankintaSampo video provides instructions on submitting a participation application, specifically for TyöHäme Employment Area procurements.

The city’s procurement has gained a “face” among entrepreneurs, lowering the threshold for contact and bidding. The image of public procurement is being enhanced. With these videos, Procurement Services is more approachable. The corporate perspective has also been highlighted. Submitting participation applications to HankintaSampo has been made easier.

A marketing video is in the works, intended to be less technical and more engaging to hook the audience. It will then direct interested parties to the other videos.
