The villages of Hämeenlinna
The municipalities of Hauho, Kalvola, Lammi, Renko and Tuulos were merged into the City of Hämeenlinna in a municipal consolidation in 2009. These districts are commonly referred to as the villages of Hämeenlinna.
Approximately 25% of Hämeenlinna residents live in the villages. In addition to offering a peaceful residential environment, the villages are also excellent destinations for day trips or weekend getaways for local tourism enthusiasts.
