Raatihuone Hall
Raatihuoneenkatu 15, 13100 Hämeenlinna
Hämeenlinna Raatihuone Hall is a municipal building designed by provincial architect Alfred Cavèn and completed in 1888.
The Raatihuone Hall represents French-influenced Neo-Renaissance style with its richly ornamented plaster decorations on the street façade. The building originally served the city’s administration and legal affairs in diverse ways: it housed the treasury chamber, auction hall, police chamber, city prison, district court and magistrate’s assembly hall, rooms for the mayor and city prosecutor, as well as a banquet hall and staff residential quarters.
Today the Raatihuone Hall serves as a meeting and event venue for the city. The hall is reserved primarily for internal city meetings, training sessions and stakeholder relations events, as well as for dignified partner celebrations held in the building.
