Private early childhood education
Service voucher for a private daycare centre
In Hämeenlinna, families can also choose private early childhood education for their child if they wish. Private daycare centres offer early childhood education and pre-primary education with a service voucher as a purchased service, in accordance with valid agreements with the city.
Private early childhood education is required to meet the same quality criteria as municipal early childhood education, and the operations are guided by the same laws and curricula. The municipality advises, guides, and supervises the operations of private service providers.
Service providers are also required to evaluate their own operations through, among other things, a self-monitoring plan and customer satisfaction surveys aimed at guardians. Client families play an important role in evaluating the quality of the early childhood education they have chosen. Feedback can be given directly to the service provider or, for example, by responding to customer satisfaction surveys.
