Youth centres are safe places where young people can spend their free time in their own way. The centres are open for all young people. The facilities are accessible and easy to reach, so that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in the activities.

You can play billiards, snooker, console games, various board games, listen to music and watch television at youth centres. You can also do handicrafts, take part in friendly competitions and spend time with friends or meet new people.

Youth centres offer an opportunity to get involved. Participate in planning the centre’s activities and develop the city’s youth services together with other young people.

Renting youth centres

Youth Centres G-Nurkka and Hukari can be reserved primarily for children’s and young people’s activities. The facilities are suitable for associations’ use, for example.

If you need a facility for regular, ongoing use, apply for a regular booking slot annually in April. Submit your application using a separate regular booking slot application form. You will find the application form and more information on the regular booking slot application on this page once the application period is open.

If you need a facility only for a single occasion or short-term use, contact the youth worker of the facility in question directly and agree on a time with them.

The usage fees for youth centres are:

  • for children’s and young people’s hobby groups €10 per hour (includes 25.5% VAT)
  • for other users €15 per hour (includes 25.5% VAT)

Decisions on youth centre usage fees are made by the youth work manager.
