Iittala Comprehensive School rules 2026-2027

1. I follow the instructions given by adults working at the school and the jointly agreed rules.
2. I behave appropriately, responsibly, and kindly at school and during journeys to and from school. I treat everyone equally and do not bully anyone.
3. I allow both other students and adults at the school to work in peace.
4. Iittala Comprehensive School is a phone-free school during school days. Upon arriving at school, I place my mobile phone in the designated storage for the entire school day or leave it at home. A phone may only be kept in a backpack for health reasons, and in such cases, this must always be agreed upon separately. I also do not use a smartwatch or headphones at school (except with the teacher’s permission during lessons).
5. I arrive at school and lessons on time. During lessons, I only leave my place with the teacher’s permission.
6. I do not leave the school grounds without permission during the school day.
7. I take care of my homework and study materials. I ensure that I use my iPad and Chromebook only for study purposes and keep the device charged with me at school. I handle devices carefully and compensate for any damage I cause.
8. I diligently care for school property I use and study materials provided to me. I return borrowed equipment undamaged. I compensate for any damage I cause.
9. I take care of our school environment and do my best to keep both indoor and outdoor spaces tidy and pleasant.
10. I do not bring cigarettes, intoxicants, or similar products to school, nor do I use them on school premises, indoors or outdoors.
11. I do not bring energy drinks onto school grounds, nor do I consume them on school grounds.
12. In addition to the general school rules, different subjects may have rules related to the nature of the subject. These rules will be announced to pupils by the subject teacher. I follow the instructions given.
