Council on Disability

The Council on Disability monitors, evaluates, and promotes accessibility, equality and the availability of services within the city.

According to the rules of operation for the Council on Disability approved by the City Board, the council consists of seven permanent members from disability organizations. Each member has a personal deputy member. The Council on Disability makes a proposal to the City Board regarding the appointment of members.

In addition, the City of Hämeenlinna Urban Environment Committee and the Education and Well-Being Committee appoint their own representatives to the Council on Disability for the entire term of office.
