Pathways to employment – internship or work trial?

The City of Hämeenlinna offers a wide range of internship positions for students from various fields. The duration and content of the internship are determined by the field of study and degree. The internship can be completed in any unit of the city.

If you are interested in an internship at the City of Hämeenlinna, you can express your interest by sending an email to Employment Coordinator Sara Rantanen. Please mention your field of study and the sector in which you would like to complete your internship.

The city continuously offers research and thesis topics. You can apply for a research permit electronically. The processing time for applications is 2-3 weeks and longer during holiday periods. The decision will be sent to the applicant by email.

It is possible to complete apprenticeship training with the City of Hämeenlinna. We have diverse positions, such as childcare worker, school instructor and secretary roles.

You can complete your civil service at the City of Hämeenlinna. Individuals are accepted for civil service in various units of the city as opportunities allow.
