Unused vehicles cannot be left, stored, or kept on a road or street.
The municipality ensures that abandoned vehicles are removed from streets, parking areas, and other public spaces.
The Parking Enforcement Office is responsible for the removal of abandoned and scrap vehicles in the city area. By separate arrangement, vehicle removals are also carried out from private property at the request of the property owner. The vehicle is transferred to the city storage facility.
Vehicle removal costs €230.
The Parking Enforcement Office provides instructions on collecting a removed vehicle and on the vehicle owner’s option to voluntarily deliver the vehicle to an official scrap vehicle collection point.
If you suspect a vehicle has been abandoned, report it to the city’s Parking Enforcement Office.
Immediate vehicle removals
A vehicle may be removed immediately (immediate removal):
if it is parked incorrectly,
if it may cause danger,
if traffic is unnecessarily obstructed or disrupted, or
if the parking causes obvious harm to road maintenance or street upkeep and cleaning.
