Approaching with kindness and respecting diversity – daily life filled with local excursions.
Katinen Daycare Centre is located on the eastern side of Hämeenlinna, close to nature and the city’s cultural attractions. Our daycare centre has six children’s groups, one of which focuses on excursion and nature pedagogy. We frequently go on excursions in the local area and to the shared campfire hut area of Katinen and Kutala daycare centres in Keilapuisto. We also regularly use the sports hall of our neighbouring Kutala Daycare Centre.
Our daycare centre is a warm community where we want every individual to feel comfortable and important! The cultural diversity of our daycare centre is a strength and a resource – we see different cultural, linguistic, and philosophical backgrounds as a richness. Guardians value the warm and individual attention given to children at Katinen Daycare Centre, as well as the friendly interactions with guardians.
Katinen Daycare Centre also includes pre-primary education groups operating in conjunction with Hämeenlinna Comprehensive School’s Tuomela unit. Tuomela has three pre-primary education groups, one of which is a mobile forest group. We collaborate extensively between the school and the pre-primary education groups. Our entire community becomes very well acquainted. Guardians appreciate Tuomela’s functional and diverse pre-primary education activities, the safe atmosphere, and the staff’s genuine interest in children’s matters.
