At Solvik, community, joy, and creativity are important to us.

Solvik Daycare Centre has four groups of children, one of which is a forest group. The daycare centre’s second pre-primary education group, Tuulispäät, operates in the Tarvasmäki unit. Solvik’s new, spacious, and harmonious facilities allow for a wide range of activities in both group rooms and shared spaces. We also have a shared gym. The fenced yard area offers plenty to do, and the daycare centre’s own campfire hut area is located near the shore of Lake Katumajärvi.

We implement a wide range of activities and various projects in both early childhood education and pre-primary education using a child-centred approach. The daycare centre reflects enthusiasm and the courage to try different ways of working. Our play projects occasionally expand into events shared by the entire daycare centre. Parents and guardians at Solvik and Tarvasmäki appreciate the child-centredness, the warm encounters with the children, the diverse activities, and the support for children’s learning.
