Are you looking for a home in the heart of the city centre, in the tranquillity of nature or close to hobby opportunities? The districts of Hämeenlinna offer options for many different needs.

Central area

Located on the shore of Lake Vanajavesi, the city centre of Hämeenlinna offers services, hobbies and culture close to home. The railway station, bus station, market square, church surroundings and diverse shopping opportunities are all within a walking distance.

In the city centre, you can enjoy the outdoors in Kaupunginpuisto Park, Aulanko and Ahvenisto. The area has numerous exercise facilities, including an ice rink, climbing centre and swimming centre. Culture enthusiasts will find museums, Verkatehdas and the theatre. One of the most famous landmarks of the city is Häme Castle.

The city centre also features old historic buildings and idyllic wooden house quarters—no wonder, as it has been in its current location since 1777.

The residential areas on the southern side are mainly detached and terraced house areas and are ideal for families with children, for example. What unites the areas is that nature begins right in the backyard, yet the distance to the city bustle is only five to ten minutes.

Ahvenisto’s legendary motor racing circuit regularly hosts diverse events.
