Enrolling to preparatory education

Preparatory education is intended for pupils who have moved to Finland. In preparatory education, pupils learn the Finnish language and become familiar with going to school in Finland.

Preparatory education lasts for a maximum of one year. After that, the pupil transfers to a regular basic education group.

In preparatory education, it is also possible to study basic education subjects if it is suitable for the pupil. The school provides a free warm school meal. The pupil is entitled to pupil welfare services (for example, healthcare). The wellbeing services county Oma Häme is responsible for pupil welfare services.
