Construction, the extension of buildings, repairs and alterations generally require a building permit. Some minor construction activities are exempt from the permit requirement. Building supervision does not process construction projects that are exempt from building permits under the Building Act.
Fees for building permits and other official tasks performed by building supervision are charged in accordance with the charge approved by the city.
