The City Council appoints an Audit Committee according to the Municipalities Act for the duration of the Council term to audit and evaluate the administration and the finances.
The Municipalities Act and the Administrative Rules dictate the duties of the Audit Committee.
The Audit Committee’s agenda is usually published four days before the meeting and the minutes one week after the meeting. The minutes are available on the administrative publishing platform for two years after the meeting.
The Committee has eleven (11) members elected by the Council and each has a personal deputy member. Members and deputy members are elected for the Council term, unless the Council decides on a shorter term.
