The online map service of Hämeenlinna features services, areas, cycling routes, and other points of interest. The Plot and Measuring Services manage the map and the points of interest.
You can order map products produced by the city from our online store whenever suits you best, with payments processed via online banking. Prices include VAT at 25.5%.

Interface services
An interface service refers to an electronic service for transferring geoinformation between systems. Interface services make it possible to obtain up-to-date data directly from the data producer.
The datasets are easily accessible to various GIS applications, eliminating the need to acquire them or worry about storage and updates.
Using interface services requires compatible GIS software that supports these interfaces.
WMS Interface Service
The Web Map Service (WMS) interface is a viewing service that allows geoinformation on another server to be viewed as map images. Currently, the city’s data available via the WMS interface service includes the guide map, base map, up-to-date detailed plan, and master plan.
Metadata for the service and datasets can be found in the Geoinformation Directory by searching for ‘Hämeenlinna’.
Currently, there is no charge for using the WMS interface service, and it does not require authentication. The datasets in the service are freely available for official and private use; commercial use must be agreed upon.
The City of Hämeenlinna uses the EUREF-FIN GK25 coordinate system (EPSG 3879) as its official coordinate system and the N2000 system as its height system.
