Permit for scattering ashes of the deceased
If you wish to scatter the ashes of a deceased person, you must always request permission from the landowner of the area. The City of Hämeenlinna can grant permission for land and water areas owned by the city.
Apply for a permit using a separate application. You will receive the scattering permit in writing as the applicant.
Scattering sites
Hämeenlinna has designated two sites where ashes can be scattered within the city area. The sites are accessible, making them easy to reach.
You may also submit suggestions for new scattering sites.
You can apply for a permit to scatter a deceased person’s ashes via the electronic E-permit application.
