Adapted physical activity

Physical activity is for everyone.

In adapted physical activity, the exercise, instruction, equipment, environment, or methods of participation can be modified so that as many people as possible can participate based on their own starting points.

Adapted physical activity may be suitable for you if you require more support than usual for movement due to illness, disability, changes in functional capacity, or other life situations. The need for support may be permanent or temporary.

The objective is to enable safe and meaningful physical activity that is appropriate for one’s functional capacity. In these groups, you can find a suitable way to exercise, try new forms of physical activity, and receive support for participation.

Adapted physical activity groups

The adapted physical activity groups of Hämeenlinnan Liikuntahallit Oy are designed for individuals who benefit from the adaptation of exercise, more individualised instruction, or support for participation.

The group descriptions provide more detailed information regarding the target audience and the types of support or adaptations available within each group.
