A campsite is an area with at least 25 camping cabins or pitches reserved for tents, caravans, or motorhomes. Additionally, any area with at least 10 camping cabins is always considered a campsite.
A notification must be submitted to the municipal campsite authority regarding the establishment of a campsite or any significant changes to its operations. A notification must also be made for a temporary campsite intended to accommodate more than 100 people for a maximum of 14 days.
How to proceed
Submit the notification using the electronic form below at least 3 months before establishing the campsite. A map must be included as an attachment to the notification.
The authority may issue orders based on the notification that are necessary to comply with laws and regulations, or they may prohibit the intended activity at the location. If the campsite meets the requirements set by law, the authority does not need to issue a formal decision regarding the notification.
