A framework plan has been prepared for the Iittala urban area in Kalvola to more accurately support the detailed plan, gathering information produced by various projects on the direction of the area’s development. The informal framework plan area extends to the motorway in the east and to the Turkinmäki area in the west. In connection with the framework plan, the I-laakso project led by Linnan Kehitys is also underway.
The framework plan examines, among other things, the expansion directions for detached housing and business areas in the Iittala urban area, as well as unbuilt plots in the detailed plan area and which of them would be particularly suitable for infilling. In addition, the green and recreational area network is evaluated from the perspectives of infilling and active recreational use.
