The purpose of the detailed plan is to create a new residential area dominated by detached houses. The area is a continuation of the previously zoned Sampo and Hirsimäki detached house areas and part of a broader entity of new detached house areas designated by the master plan.
The zoning of the area answers to the demand for detached house plots in the western parts of the city centre.
